"Though your challenges are deeply personal, they are also deeply human, and God has provided workable solutions for you through the teachings of Christ and the Roman Catholic Church. Walking with Purpose would like to help you enjoy a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ, nurtured through personal Bible study and small group discussions created just for women."

The name Cana Couples is taken from the Wedding Feast at Cana. We are married couples from the parish who meet on the third Saturday of each month to share eats and refreshments and enjoy each other's company. We first met in January of 2014 with 8 couples. At this time we are 2 groups of 6 couples each. Each group has a contact couple and each couple takes a turn hosting the evening in their home. The host couple can offer a dinner where the main course is provided by the hosts and all the side dishes are brought by the remaining couples. Another option can be an evening of substantial hors d'oeuvres and dessert provided by each couple. We spend the evening chatting and having a great time. Cana Couples is a wonderful way to get to know some of the people that we worship with each week in a strictly social setting. The atmosphere is very relaxed and is a great way to make new friends.

In the 1930's, our Lord gave a simple chaplet which could be recited on rosary beads to a Polish nun, St. Faustina Kowalska, and commissioned her to promote a devotion to His Divine Mercy. He made many promises surrounding this devotion, including, “Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy (Diary, 687),” and “Through the chaplet you will obtain everything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will (Diary, 731).”
The Divine Mercy prayer group meets every Tuesday at 1:00 pm, in the church, to recite the chaplet and the rosary. They meet for approximately 45 minutes. Everyone is welcome!
The Knights of Columbus are a Catholic, fraternal, and service organization for men age 18 years or older, founded by the Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney. The St. Peter Church Council is one of 67 active councils in the State of New Hampshire whose mission is to serve their church, families, communities, and those in need.
The St. Peter Council holds fundraisers to benefit local organizations such as the YMCA’s Battered Women’s Program, and programs for special-needs children in the Auburn and Candia school districts. They annually support two Diocesan Seminarians and participate in serving dinner and handing out groceries at the New Horizons Soup Kitchen.
The Council meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm in the St. Peter parish hall. For more information about becoming a member of the Council, please contact Richard Sirois at 624-0071 or Marc Gagnon at 361-8746.
The St. Peter Women’s Guild meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month, from September through May. The Guild is a service-oriented group, and many of the monthly events focus on making monetary or material donations to charitable organizations. These include the American Cancer Society, NH Salvation Army’s Kids Café and Angie’s Place (a women’s shelter in Manchester). The Guild also holds many social events which build fellowship among its members.
Membership is open to all women of the parish. Please join us on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm!
